When Mart Marais’s frugal sister decides to cut costs by using a cheap funeral undertaker, AVKOP, things go dramatically wrong. At the pearly gates, Mart arrives sporting an eighties perm so unholy that even the angels grow uncomfortable. Peter doesn’t recognise her and suggests she wait until the perm has fallen flat before knocking again. And so Mart – dead, but not quiet – ends up at her own funeral. What follows is a posthumous nightmare.
