Grenslig is an immersive theatre experience that takes the audience on a literal and emotional journey across a border – physically, socially, and morally. The audience climbs into the back of a truck, where they wait, sweat, and hope alongside a group of strangers as the truck slowly moves across the border. Flight and survival: “What makes a person leave everything behind for the possibility of a better life?” The audience becomes fellow travellers, hearing the stories, feeling the movement, smelling the dust and diesel, and experiencing the fragility of hope against fear.
Limited to 20 participants.
The production is site-specific; the bus departs from the Wynand Mouton Greenroom.
Supported by The Vrystaat Kunstefees and Badprop Produksies.
