Die Koning en sy Bruid examines, in an unusual way, elements of the power struggle within the Afrikaner’s history and culture. This sixty-minute-long tragicomedy explores the hidden power lust between male and female forces and how it is complicated by an unexpected need for connection. The characters expose their world to the audience, only to involve each listener in their captivity.
