Different Shades of Black

Different Shades of Black is a dynamic theatrical piece that blends physical theatre, mime, and comedy to explore the complexities of racial identity. The show follows three characters who, despite all being coloured, come from vastly different backgrounds and have varying understandings of what it truly means to be “coloured”. They enroll in an absurdly rigorous boot camp to understand their true selves. The characters are forced to confront their biases and preconceived notions society places on them.
