The Semblance of Permanence
Inspired by the text of Martin Koboekae’s Of Cats and Dogs, the text follows the lives of James, a playwright, and Junior, an aspiring actor. Comical elements are a significant influence in the contemporary text. This text also explores themes of patriarchy, racism, and sexism. As the cohabiting couple navigates through their relationship, the audience is confronted with realities of what love looks like and feels like for a homosexual couple in a heterosexual world with all its glare.
