Dare to enter a unique virtual reality that celebrates the development and transformation of Afrikaans as a language. Through a multimedia experience that integrates visual art, music, poetry, and technology, the rich and diverse history of the language is captured and celebrated. Visitors can expect a combination of physical and virtual reality experiences, with forest-like nature scenes painted by artist Jaco van Schalkwyk, and the word art of Willem Boshoff, interwoven with sound and music created by composer Jaco Meyer. These art forms illuminate and support the Afrikaans poetry of Bibi Slippers and Quaz Roodt. The different media are processed into virtual reality by virtual reality designer Herman Myburgh, while the overall presentation has been planned and woven together by curator Dr Dineke Orton.
