We Say Our Names When We Pray

We Say Our Names When We Pray explores the tapestry of four transgender identities across three generations. The women navigate their lives in secret and gather at Madibuseng’s house as a form of communion to relieve themselves from the world’s violence. Their peace is disturbed when a massacre imposes itself on them, and they are confronted with implications from the law. It is about love in all forms: deliberate, unrequited, transient, selfless, and romantic.
