Christopher Truter, a child of 1976

Christopher Truter was born on 1 December 1961 and grew up in Bonteheuwel, where he was shot by police during protests on 25 August 1976 while at Bonteheuwel High School. He suffered severe head injuries and died a week later, on 1 September 1976, in the ICU of the former Conradie Hospital. He was buried on 3 September 1976 at the Anglican church where the film will be screened tomorrow, Saturday 6 September, at 15:00.
